Data handling

What happens to data in the app.

This version is designed around on-device processing, explicit user control and no collection for advertising or analytics.

01

Scope and developer

This policy applies to the NONIVERUS QR Android application. NONIVERUS is the product brand.

The app does not require an account. Privacy questions may be sent to contact@noniverus.com, the monitored general NONIVERUS address.

02

Camera, images and vibration

With Android permission, the app can access the camera to detect QR codes. Images selected by the user can also be analysed to look for a QR code.

Vibration permission is used only for haptic feedback. Scanning a QR code does not automatically open its destination.

03

Data stored on the device

Depending on the user’s settings and actions, the app may store settings, scan history and created QR codes locally.

This information remains in the app’s local storage and does not require a NONIVERUS account.

04

Collection and transmission

NONIVERUS QR does not integrate advertising, analytics or telemetry. Version 1.1.1 / Build 21 does not request the Android INTERNET permission.

This version does not send scanned QR content to NONIVERUS servers for analysis or profiling.

05

Sharing, clipboard and external actions

Information can leave the app’s private context only when the user chooses to copy, share or launch an external action.

Copying places content on the system clipboard. Sensitive copy actions use confirmation. Sharing uses the Android share sheet, after which the user-selected app is responsible for the data it receives.

When opening a link, map, email, call or another external action, the destination app and service may apply their own privacy policies.

06

Security

QR reading and creation take place on the device, and persistent app data uses local storage subject to Android platform protections.

Built-in backup functionality uses cryptographic protection, and actions considered sensitive require explicit confirmation where applicable.

07

Retention and deletion

Local data remains until it is deleted through available app controls, Android app-data clearing or uninstalling the app, as applicable.

Exported files, backups stored outside the app, clipboard content or information sent to another app are no longer under the exclusive control of NONIVERUS QR and may need to be deleted separately.

08

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when app behaviour, legal requirements or distribution policies change. The date above identifies the published version of this policy.

For questions about this policy or data-related requests, email contact@noniverus.com. Only send information needed for your request.
